The Village of Manorhaven has joined with the Town of North Hempstead, seven other Villages, the Port Washington Fire District, Nassau County Police Department's 3rd Precinct, and other special districts in the Port Washington/Manhasset Peninsula to provide emergency communication services to all residents. The North Shore Alert system allows residents, business people, and other stakeholders to decide how they will receive emergency and non-emergency information about the community, whether by telephone, cellular phone, email, or text message
