Located between the City of Elmira and the Town and Village of Horseheads, Elmira Heights is the main crossroad from the West to the East for the heavy traffic and deliveries of goods to the local businesses.
The Village is not considered an industrial entity because the major plants such as Anchor Glass, Purolator, and CAF USA, Inc. are located beyond the municipal limits and do not generate taxes to the Village.
