Middleport New York is located on the historic Erie Canal on the eastern edge of Niagara County. Middleport is in vicinity of the Niagara Wine Trail, minutes from Lake Ontario and about an hour from the cities of Buffalo, Niagara Falls and Rochester. Being on the Erie Canal, the Village of Middleport has always been a popular destination for boaters. The towpath on the north side of the Erie Canal gives folks a place to enjoy bike riding, walking, jogging and cross country skiing.
