Livingston is proud to share that we are one of only a few communities statewide to receive a perfect “zero percent” stress monitor score from the NY office of the comptroller, a metric that shows the Town is in top financial shape.
The state’s stress monitoring program is designed to be an early warning system for counties, cities, towns, and villages. The score factors a community’s year-end fund balances, operating deficits or surpluses, cash position, use of short-term debt for cash flow, and fixed costs to assign a value from Zero (perfect financial shape) to 100 (critical financial challenges).
