Town of Holley, NY Website
Nestled in the eastern portion of Orleans County, the picturesque Village of Holley proudly stands. The village owes its existence to the Erie Canal and was named for Myron Holley, one of the canal commissioners. First settled in 1812, the rich farmlands enticed many settlers. Incorporated in 1850, soon the railroad came and afforded the residents easier travel and the farmers better shipping for their produce. The quarry business boomed in the late 1800's and brought an influx of talented immigrants to the area.
