Town of Antwerp, NY Website
The Village of Antwerp is located in the northeastern portion of Jefferson County, New York . The Indian River flows through the Village and we are bordered by the Fort Drum Military Installation. The Village was incorporated in 1853 and is home to approximately 686 people. The entire Village has been listed on the NYS Historic Registry.
The Village owns and operates our water and sewage treatment plants as well as a 325,000 gallon water tower. Water is provided to residents within the Village as well as the immediate outskirts of the Village.
We provide services through part-time police protection as well as garbage and recycling pickup.
Our fire department has 45 active volunteer members who provide fire service to our residents as well as mutual aid to neighboring departments. Ambulance services are provided by Indian River Ambulance Service.
We have land use laws in effect and two zoning districts, residential and commercial.
Our children attend the Indian River Central School District.
